We
are now registering for our next session of classes beginning May 7th!
Adult Pottery Class
Our pottery classes are in 6-week sessions. Students attend their registered class once a week, and then have an additional 2 hours of open studio time to practice and work independently on their projects.
Our morning classes are from 10:00am to 12:30pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays or Saturdays.
We offer evening classes from 6:00 to 8:30pm on Mondays, Tuesdays or Thursdays
We also offer one-day Try It classes. This is a good option to get a feel for using the pottery wheel before signing up for a 6-week session.
| "TMG
has been like my
second home now, and I am so glad that you guys are there. Part of my
sanity is maintained by TMG being there, really. I am lucky to live so
close to the studio and having such nice owners providing the wonderful
place for learning pottery as well as sharing my pieces. |
We have some videos to acquaint you with our studio. We strongly encourage you to watch the videos on first day of class and our clean up process prior to your first class. If you are a new student, please come by the studio to meet us and discuss your objectives with Mark prior to your first class.
Classes
are adjusted to your learning needs. Maximum class size is 8
students. If you are a beginner or experienced; want to work on the
wheel or handbuild, instruction is provided for your level. Students
are grouped to best help everyone.
If you have no experience, you can learn at your own pace. If you have more experience, we can build on what you already know and give you options for your learning choices.
At this time, we regret that we are unable to accept students less than 18 years of age, although we do reserve the right to make exceptions.
| "My
daily job with very needy people saps the life out of me. I
arrive frazzled, spend 2
& 1/2 hours with clay, classmates and Mark too, then leave the
studio
calmer and with sound mind. Working with clay is helping to
save my sanity! Thanks for not charging the hourly rate for
counseling! Sure appreciate it... so does my husband.
Thanks" |
Remember that pottery is a process—patience and perseverance are helpful. The difficult part is getting over that initial hump. If you are patient, have fun with learning, and keep trying you'll enjoy pottery and be able to take it as far as you want.
